Following established and detailed procedures and work instructions, the operator is responsible for manufacturing chemical products. In addition to operating chemical processes, the incumbent performs setup, cleaning of equipment, waste disposal, emergency response, warehousing and maintenance activities. Requires excellent attention to detail and strong math aptitude, and ability to fluently read, speak, and understand English. Also requires basic mechanical skills as needed to operate machinery and equipment; and the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Basic computer skills preferred. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening, a background check, a job function evaluation, and be able to work a 12 hour shift, days or nights, any day of the week, in a physically demanding work environment.
