Lab Assistant (R&D)

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Assistant in Research & Development (R&D).  The position will provide assistance to R&D chemists in the lab by:  washing laboratory glassware; inventorying and restocking laboratory equipment, supplies, and chemicals; maintaining lab spaces by cleaning and organizing equipment; safely disposing of chemical samples; notifying supervisor of lab items needing repair and replacement.

The schedule is typically Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with overtime as needed.  Pay is $16 per hour.  Potential pay increases after 6 months, 12 months, and annually.

Requirements include: High school diploma or GED; ability to follow detailed instruction and safety procedures; must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and move/pivot 75+ pounds occasionally and be comfortable working in variable weather conditions occasionally. Must be willing to use forklift (company will train).  Must have basic computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office (email, Word).

Analytical Chemist II 

We are seeking an Analytical Chemist II who will be responsible for developing qualitative and quantitative analytical methods and analyzing samples as needed to support process development and to ensure process control and product quality during manufacturing. The person will also validate analytical methods to industry standards and responds to requests from R&D for all method development needs. The Analytical Chemist must stay abreast of new developments in analytical methods and instrumentation.

We will consider applicants who have the following qualifications: Master degree in Chemistry with 5 years of experience in chromatography and NMR or Bachelor degree in Chemistry with 7 to 10 years related experience, including chromatography and NMR training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Process Chemist for Pilot Plant (BS or MS)

We are interested in adding an experienced Chemist to join our Pilot Plant team. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and 3-5 years of Process Chemistry experience. The individual will be part of both technical and manufacturing aspects of multi-step synthetic processes.  Job duties include: working with scientists to determine process data required prior to scale up to 100 L to 750 L reactors; developing, reviewing, editing and scaling Batch Records; verifying raw material and intermediate specifications; working with Scientists and Analytical team on in-process and final product analyses; overseeing and troubleshooting Pilot Plant reactions; reviewing and summarizing data, writing reports and effectively presenting information from completed Pilot Plant processes.

Requirements: BS in Chemistry (preferred) or Chemical Engineering; 3-5 years of related work (Process or R&D) experience; experience in batch operations in specialty chemicals is a plus; solid understanding of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry; must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Chemical Operators – Production (next start date August 6)

We are growing and currently looking for great people to join our team as a Chemical Production Operator.  Our Chemical Production Operators work 12 hour shifts in our production plant (schedule includes every other weekend and holidays); shifts rotate between days and nights every 12 weeks.  Pay is $17 per hour with $2 per hour night shift differential. Potential pay increases after 3 months ($18), 6 months ($19), 12 months ($20) and annually.  Paid training will be Monday-Friday on days (8 hours/day) for the first 2 weeks.

Requirements include: High school diploma or GED; good mathematical and English reading and writing skills; ability to follow detailed instruction and strong mechanical aptitude. Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and move/pivot 75+ pounds frequently and be comfortable working in variable weather conditions. Industrial experience helpful but not required.
