R&D Scientist 

We are seeking a  PhD Scientist for chemical process development from R&D through Pilot Plant and Production. The desired candidate will exhibit the following attributes: A solid foundation in the practice of synthetic chemistry including carbon-carbon and carbon-nitrogen bond forming reactions; excellent communication and organizational skills; a track record of collaboration to achieve common goals; strong technical leadership for the development and implementation of safe, efficient, and cost effective chemical processes from the bench.

We will consider applicants who have the following qualifications: a PhD in Chemistry with a strong synthetic background in organic and organometallic chemistry; entry level or 3-5 years of related industrial experience. Candidates who have experience as a Research or Process Chemist in a batch chemical operation will be given preference.

Senior Process Design Engineer 

We are looking for a qualified Senior Process Design Engineer to provide engineering and technical assistance to support Production, R & D, Business Development and Pilot Plant operations.  Responsibilities include the development and implementation of ideas for reducing manufacturing costs, increasing capacity and improving product quality to maintain or to increase profitability in operations;  troubleshooting processes and systems for continual improvement; defines and oversees execution of projects from initial scope to completion; develops Engineering Standards and Guidelines for the engineering group; and, assists in the maintenance of the operating equipment, utilities and plant.

We will consider applicants who have the following qualifications: a minimum of a BS in chemical or mechanical engineering with at least 8-10 years experience with batch operations in specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar industry preferred, plus at least 3-5 years experience supervising other engineers.   Must have exceptional mechanical reasoning skills, have working knowledge of AutoCAD, and be highly familiar with batch processes typical of the specialty chemical industry.    Must have competency in the following areas:  thermodynamics, principles of distillation, process control, organic and inorganic chemistry, mass transfer, materials of construction, utilities, equipment specification, Process Safety Management and ASME, API, IBC, IFC, NFPA and other code requirements.     A professional engineering license is strongly preferred but not required.

Chemical  Operators (next hiring estimated for September)

We are growing and currently looking for great people to join our team in our entry level position of Chemical Production Operator.  Our Chemical Production Operators work 12 hour shifts in our production plant (schedule includes every other weekend and holidays, but work only 7 out of every 14 days); shifts rotate between days and nights every 12 weeks.  Pay is $17 per hour with $2 per hour night shift differential. Potential pay increases after 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and annually.  Paid training will be Monday-Friday on days for the first 2 weeks.

Requirements include: High school diploma or GED; good mathematical and English reading and writing skills; ability to follow detailed instruction and strong mechanical aptitude. Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and move/pivot 75+ pounds frequently and be comfortable working in variable weather conditions. Industrial experience helpful but not required.
